Likewise, the understated design philosophy grows out of Danish design trio KiBiSi’s ambitious, creative quest to actualize products that last for generations.

This idea is reflected in the design of the Hours indication as an industrial gauge, creating a new way to read the time. A highly avant-garde collection, the M-series offers an ingenious approach to timekeeping. Composed of 6 layers and ten applied parts, these stunning M-series timepieces are both intricate and stylish. Each watch features a unique dial displaying three, customized, internal discs- outer, middle and inner- supplying the hour, minutes and seconds readings respectively.

The original P-Series is inspired by industrial entities from tools, machines and engines to the plants that house these contraptions, 11 applied parts are fused to create them. A by-product of SevenFriday's innovative design process timepieces from the P-Series collection are imbued with a provocative stylishness that is complemented by the high level of mechanical performance produced by the Miyota 82S7 automatic movement.

Limited Edition Made In London Individually Numbered Only 100 Pieces Worldwide The Bridge has a wonderfully simplified depiction of the time - each hour is marked by a little character crossing over a bridge in the centre of the dial. The watch has the feel of a tiny theatre - the eye is drawn in by the different layers of printing on the face of the watch. The design was inspired by a visit to the Togetsukyo Bridge in Kyoto, Japan. The bridge is a well known landmark and you can observe the swelling and subsiding of the crowds who come to visit over the course of the day. The bridge is also the site of an important initiation for local children: boys and girls receive a blessing from a local temple and then make their way across the bridge under orders to do so without looking back. If one ignores this instruction, it is said to bring bad luck as a result. Fortunately none of the characters on the watch ever cast a glance behind them, so you are assured of good luck with this time piece!

New Always On My Mind & Cyclops

Two new additions to the always eclectic and thought provoking Mr. Jones Watch collection at Watchismo.

First, the 'ALWAYS ON MY MIND' (left) watch is nostalgic for the time when a love letter was something you could hold: the hour and minute hands spell out always on my mind in a typewriter font, as if each of the letters has been tapped out by hand.

On the right is a variation of Mr. Jones popular CYCLOPS model. Cyclops is designed to be read in a relaxed way to remind us that we shouldn't be slaves to time.

The watch dispenses with a conventional arrangement of hour, minute and second hands; instead a single hour marker passes around the dial. Each hour is represented by a different gold circle, the red hoop eclipses and releases each circle in turn to indicate the time.

This deluxe edition has a goldtone PVD coated stainless steel case and matching stainless steel mesh strap.

Often seated in the droid socket of his master’s X-wing fighter, Artoo accompanies Luke on his successful Rebel mission to destroy the Empire’s Death Star, and on his personal quest to train as a Jedi under the tutelage of the wise Jedi Master Yoda.

Fluent in over six million forms of communication, the golden protocol droid C-3PO has become an essential companion to his master Luke Skywalker and to the Rebel Alliance. Since Luke’s Uncle Owen purchased the droid from a band of Jawas on Tatooine, Threepio has accompanied Luke and the Rebellion throughout the galaxy in their fight for freedom. He is rarely seen without his squat counterpart R2-D2, and together, the two make a remarkably capable team. Because of Artoo’s limited communication abilities, Threepio must often interpret his companion’s electronic sounds for his human masters. Though preferring to remain far from any potential threat, the anxious droid frequently finds himself in the midst of the action. It is Threepio who first learns of Imperial occupation on Cloud City, but the fretful droid is disabled before he can warn his friends. Later, on the forest moon of Endor, Threepio helps convince the Ewoks to fight alongside the Rebellion in what will be the decisive victory over the Galactic Empire and the beginning of a new era of peace in the galaxy.

A Special New Limited Edition Automatic

This watch was a joint development between Mr Jones Watches and Mark Champkins, Inventor in Residence at the Science Museum. On devising the concept for the watch, Mark comments, “I loved the idea of creating a watch to celebrate the journey taken by the iconic Flying Scotsman as is tore through the British countryside from London to Edinburgh. This watch does this in a delightfully unique way”.

Hurry, Just Ten Are Available at Watchismo

This watch tracks the journey made by Flying Scotsman according to the 1931 timetable, leaving Kings Cross at 10 in the morning and arriving at Edinburgh at 6:15pm. On the watch a revolving pictorial disc tracks the landmarks which the train passed on it’s journey. So at 10am Kings Cross station is visible on the right hand side of the crescent, as the journey progresses so more landmarks appear, until at 6:15pm the Scott Monument in Edinburgh is sighted. The crescent at this moment shows the whole length of the journey with London on the left and Edinburgh on the right.

A Vintage Advertisement For The Flying Scotsman

The artwork on the disc was created for us by Scottish artist Peter McDermott, who says of the commission, “Flying Scotsman for me, represents all that’s romantic and mysterious about travel, from Auden’s famous poem ‘Night Mail’ to John Buchan’s ‘The 39 Steps’, she appears centre stage as the essential ingredient to excite both prose and narrative. She also connects to a golden age of commercial art spearheaded by the iconic railway posters of the 30’s and 40’s. These works of art have become an inspiration to my own illustrations, which attempt to replicate the graphical power of those bygone pieces through today’s digital medium”

Penrose "Impossible" Triangles

The Penrose triangle, also known as the Penrose tribar, is an impossible object. It was first created by the Swedish artist Oscar Reutersvärd in 1934. The psychologist Lionel Penrose and his mathematician son Roger Penrose independently devised and popularised it in the 1950s, describing it as "impossibility in its purest form". It is featured prominently in the works of artist M. C. Escher, whose earlier depictions of impossible objects partly inspired it.

Mechanical Movement

This watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. The watch is wound either by turning the winding crown on the left hand side of the case, or (more simply) by the everyday motion of your wrist. A weight on the mechanism rotates in response to normal movement and transfers this energy to winding up the mainpspring (if you hold the watch in your hand and gently rock it back and forth you can feel this weight moving).

The ring around the timepiece face features a reflective hue that radiates varying shades of slate when angled. New Qlocktwo W Golden Words The time in words on your wrist Qlocktwo's first watch dial featuring 110 letters carved from Gold PVD plated brushed stainless steel. Biegert & Funk is exhibiting a completely new kind of wristwatch, it does not show the time with hands or digits. Time is indicated on this purist watch as readable text, turning it into a statement: “It is half past nine”. The square watch face has a uniform grid of 110 letters. When the stainless steel button is pressed, words light up in unexpected places which describe the time. The initially random order of the characters lends this wristwatch a mysterious aesthetic. “QLOCKTWO makes you aware of the moment. Showing the time becomes an interesting experience for the owner,” explains Andreas Funk from the design duo Biegert & Funk.
